The beauty of small things

Having been effectively housebound since discharge from the 'machine' my horizons, by necessity, have been somewhat reduced. This situation makes you look a little bit harder at the everyday things that you see, walk past and take for granted.
These two patches of thyme growing in the front garden are the most amazing colour, particularly in bright sunlight and even on a dull day the little plants positively glow. The colour seems to be a massive attractor for the bumble bees too and I bet the honey tastes good although where their hive is I wouldn't know.
Today after yet another visit to the machine I will hopefully be able to get the fishing rods out and chase some roach. Now that really will make a change.
