Wind and rain

Finally West Norfolk is being drenched. There was a huge thunderstorm one night last week, with the full pyrotechnics and sound effects, almost two inches of rain fell in a little over two hours and that volume of water finally filled up the empty water butts.
Between the short and the prolonged showers there have been some sunny spells but there is still high humidity and a steady south westerly wind is rushing the squalls across the fenland landscape.
More often than not you can see the squalls coming and gauge the dog walking to arrive at a sheltered place just before the rain does start to fall, but not always.
Never mind it makes for a bit of a different walk.
And below? That's the following evening with fen mountains in the distance.
